1. High guidance accuracy: Guidance accuracy refers to the straightness of the moving parts moving along the guide rail, as well as the accuracy of the mutual orientation between the base surfaces related to it.

2. Sufficient rigidity: The external force experienced by the moving parts is received by the guide rail surface, so the guide rail should have sufficient rigidity. Therefore, we often increase the width of the guide rail surface, lower the pressure ratio of the guide rail surface, and set up auxiliary guide rails to accept external loads.

3. Smooth and easy guide rail movement: When operating on a linear guide rail, it should be simple and labor-saving, with uniform speed and no creeping phenomenon at low speeds.

4. The structure and craftsmanship of the guide rail are good: on the premise of ensuring other requirements of the guide rail, the guide rail structure should be made simple, easy to process, measure, install and adjust, in order to reduce costs. Specific analysis must be conducted on the guide rails used by different devices, and corresponding planning requirements must be proposed for them.

5. Good wear resistance: The wear resistance of a guide rail refers to its ability to maintain a certain level of precision even after long-term use. The guide rail will wear out during use, but the amount of wear should be small, and it should be able to automatically compensate or be easy to adjust after wear.
