Analysis of factors affecting the rated life of roller linear guide pairs
The rated life calculation of rolling linear guide pairs is related to the following factors
1. Hardness coefficient. In actual guide rail systems, in order to fully utilize the performance of the rolling linear guide pair, the hardness of the raceway surface in contact with the steel ball should be between HRC58-62. If the surface hardness of the raceway is low, the rated dynamic load will be reduced and the rated life of the guide rail will be reduced.
2. Temperature coefficient. When the temperature of the guide rail system exceeds 100 degrees, compared with normal temperature use, the rated dynamic load decreases and the rated life is shortened.
3. Load factor. Generally speaking, the process of reciprocating motion is accompanied by phenomena such as vibration and impact, especially the vibration that occurs during high-speed operation and the impact during frequent starting and stopping, making it difficult to accurately calculate.
4. Contact coefficient. The rolling linear guide pair is mostly used in combination with two or more sliders in most working situations, so it is necessary to consider the impact of the uniformity of its load distribution on its lifespan.
